You are a good candidate if you are older, in good health and have extreme skin sagging and wrinkles. A facelift is the most invasive of the facial procedures that you can have done. Your surgeon will be able to tell you if you are an ideal candidate for a facelift, and if you are not, they will be able to suggest alternative methods that may not be as invasive but could produce similar results. Facelift Details and Recovery Information
The facelift surgery takes several hours to complete and is performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on you and your doctor’s preference. After the procedure, you should expect some swelling and bruising for a few days. You will need to keep bandages on the incision for a day or two following your surgery. You will be able to go back to work after 10 days or so and strenuous activity should be avoided for about two weeks. A full recovery takes about 3 weeks. During your recovery time, please limit sun exposure and avoid alcohol, steam baths and saunas.
