Treat Many Skin Conditions with Fraxel in Austin
At Austin Plastic Surgery Institute, we strive to offer the most cutting edge technology. Fraxel is one of the newest lasers being used in the industry to treat a variety of skin conditions, epecially here in the Austin area. It has been featured on a number of news programs including The View, CNN, CBS Morning Show & many others. The Fraxel laser has been approved by the FDA to treat a variety of conditions. It smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, lightens pigmentation, and is effective in treating acne scars.
How Does Fraxel Work?
The Fraxel laser works differently than many other laser resurfacing methods. Fraxel uses a specialized technique of intensely targeting deep microthermal zones in your skin while leaving the surrounding areas untouched in a fractional manner, hence the name Fraxel.
These zones penetrate deeply into the dermis, which produces collagen remodeling and reduces wrinkles. They also resurface the skin, resulting in the reduction or complete elimination of uneven pigment. This "fractional" treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue to replace skin imperfections. Whether you have sun damage, wrinkles or other signs of age, Fraxel treatment delivers remarkable results with quick recovery, so you can quickly return to work or other activities with renewed skin along with a renewed confidence in yourself.
