Robert Clement MD

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Clement established his practice in Austin in 1975. Since then, he has judiciously utilized his sabbaticals to work with and learn from the leading aesthetic surgeons in the United States.

Educated primarily in the southern United States, Dr. Clement received his undergraduate degree in 1963 from Baylor University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1967. After his internship at Mobile General Hospital in Alabama, he returned to UTMB Galveston for his general surgery residency. In 1973, he accepted a plastic surgery fellowship with Windsor Group Hospitals, which took him to England, Scotland, Switzerland, and Germany.

He brought his internationally influenced talents back to the University of Mississippi for his plastic surgery residency before settling in Austin to set up his practice. Dr. Clement’s areas of special interest and expertise include: face and browlifts, blepharoplasties (eyelids), breast and body contouring, abdominoplasties, liposuction and rhinoplasties.

Dr. Clement has been voted one of the “Best Doctors in America” from 1997-2004; he is also included as one of the “Best Plastic Surgeons” in Austin Monthly Magazine. He is a founding member of the non-profit organization Austin Smiles, as well as the Austin Cleft Lip and Palate Team. As a member of the Austin Cleft Lip and Palate Team, Dr. Clement has traveled to third world countries to perform corrective procedures.
