What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is approved by the FDA for repair of the signs of lipoatrophy, wich is the loss of fat underneath the skin. Sculptra is made of poly-L-actic acid and stimulates the patient's own collagen growth. Sculptra increases the thickness of skin over time which improves the look of skin folds.

Will I need a skin test?

No, skin testing for a Sculptra injection is not required.

Will I need additional treatment?

Our specialists will determine how many treatment sessions you will need, but the procedure does required multiple treatments for full and lasting effects.

How long will the results last?

The effects of Sculptra can last up to 2 years.

Is the procedure painful?

While Sculptra is still an injectable, it is less painful than other aesthetic injectables. The reason for this is that Sculptra is mixed with lidocaine and injected deeper than other injectables.

What are the possible side effects of treatment?

Like any injectable, the use of Sculptra can cause possible bruising or swelling at the injected area.
