Our Doctors

The doctors of the Austin Plastic Surgery Institute are all leaders in their field. They specialize in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery and restorative skin care. - Vlasta Frazer Vlasta Frazer grew up in Massachusetts where she worked and ran her father's medical office for over 10 years. This is where her love for skin care and working closely with patients grew. Vlasta strives to keep up to date in this ever changing industry by attending continuing education on a regular basis. She is a true asset to our team.

- Barbara McKeon, RN Barbara McKeon is one of APSI Skin Care Clinic's registered nurses. She is also a licensed aesthetician. With more than 10 years experience in skin care treatments, Barbara joins APSI from Dr. Norman Leaf's office in Beverly Hills, California. She comes to us with the latest in anti-aging techniques. Barbara is also a board member of Iraq Star, Inc., a national foundation that provides surgery to disfigured Iraqi and Afghan war soldiers and veterans. She enjoys giving some of her knowledge and expertise back to the community.

- Dawn Sasiela, RN Dawn is one of APSI Skin Care Clinic's registered nurses. She graduated in 1994 with a BSN from Hartwick College and has practiced in a multitude of in-patient specialties during her nursing career. Dawn transitioned into medical aesthetics several years ago combining her love of skin care and nursing. She specializes in Botox, injectable fillers and multiple laser technologies. Dawn values educating her clients on the available treatment options and developing an individualized plan with each client.

- Melissa Petterson, Aesthetician A native Austinite, Melissa has been in the medical field for over 15 years. She obtained her aesthetician license from the Paul Mitchell Academy five years ago and has been dedicated to skin care since. Her experience ranges from working in the operating room as a surgical tech to laser hair removal and most everything in between. She uses her knowledge from dermatology and general medical backgrounds to help patients achieve their skin care goals.

- Roberta Pryor, CTS Roberta Pryor has been with the APSI Skin Care Clinic since July 2008. She has 11 years of experience, performs a wide range of cosmetic procedures, and specializes in areola restoration and scar camouflage. She is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, and participates in ongoing education every year. Roberta loves working at APSI because of its professional atmosphere, great co-workers, and well-seasoned doctors.

- Patty Belisle, RN One of the region's leaders as an Advanced Nurse Injector, Patty Belisle, R.N. has practiced nursing in Austin since 1976. She has been an Aesthetic Nurse Consultant for 9 years while working in the field of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Studying under some of the most experienced injectors in the country and Canada, Patty has the ultimate in training, experience, and certifications necessary to provide our patients with the best injectible and laser treatments. Her training, experience, and certifications in the field of Aesthetic Nursing as an injector, allow her to focus her technique to restoring and enhancing patient appearance while maintaining a natural look. Her passionate approach to nursing helps her patients achieve their aesthetic goals with confidence.

- Jo Ong Jo has held her aesthetic license since 2001 and has received additional training with certification in advanced medical aesthetics along with numerous laser and cosmetic procedures. Her previous position was at one of Austin's premier dermatology practice where she specialized in the treatment of acne and anti-aging. Jo is very passionate about skin care and she aims to provide her patients with the most effective long term skin care.
