IPL Post-procedure Instructions
- Wear sunscreen daily
- Avoid exfoliants (scrubs, clarosonic brush, retinoids and acids) for 7 days.
- Your hyperpigmentation will darken an d then slough off over 7-10 days (for the face). Other areas could take longer.
- The cosmetic downtime can include swelling, darkening of dark spots and possible bruising.
- Makeup can be worn immediately following your appointment.
- Cool compresses can be applied as needed.
- Use an extra pillow your first night of sleep to keep your head slightly elevated and reduce the risk of swelling.
