How can I benefit from QWO injections?

Cellulite is a condition that can affect our self-image, causing dimpling and puckering of the skin. While there are numerous treatments available, most of them are invasive and require surgery, anesthesia, or longer recovery times. QWO injections are a new, minimally invasive option that does not require surgery or anesthesia. This treatment is designed to target the underlying cause of cellulite and produce a smoother, more contoured appearance.

Why choose us for your QWO injections?

QWO injections are administered by our experienced registered nurses. Before the injections, our nurses will consult with the patient to discuss their treatment plan and aesthetic goals. Our staff is available to answer any questions or concerns patients may have before, during, or after the procedure. Our board-certified doctors are experts in their field and oversee all medspa treatments at APSI. Our entire staff is warm and welcoming, and client health and safety are a priority.

What are QWO cellulite injections?

To date, there has been no long-lasting treatment for cellulite. However, this newly developed injectable is now available to smooth out dimpling on the buttocks and thighs. Some things to know about QWO and cellulite are:

QWO is the first minimally invasive injectable to target cellulite. According to clinical trials, it has the same mechanism as existing treatments that often require surgical intervention.

Cellulite is not the result of excessive skin laxity; instead, it is the result of pockets of fat under your skin. Bands of collagen, or septae, tighten as the fat gets deposited between your skin and muscle. This makes the fat seem to be encircled, giving rise to the appearance of “dimples.”

QWO contains two collagen-degrading enzymes that break down the septae, thus lessening the dimpling on your skin. It creates tangible results after several injections.

Am I a good candidate for QWO cellulite injections?

The majority of women have cellulite problems, and men typically do not, as the septae form differently in the male body. If you have cellulite, you are likely a good candidate for QWO. Your candidacy will ultimately be decided during your consultation with us. Common areas where cellulite appears are your arms, thighs, buttocks, or tummy. If you want to reduce the appearance uneven, dimpled skin, this treatment is recommended for you.

Your consultation

Your consultation will begin with a discussion of your concerns, expectations, and goals. Your nurse will ask you about your physical health, medical history, and current medications (blood thinners are contraindicated with this procedure as they may cause additional bruising and bleeding) If you have ever had an allergic reaction to the active ingredient, this is not an appropriate treatment for you. The risks are minimal, and complications may not be severe, but these discussions will help our team to craft the right treatment plan for you. It is important to our team that you are well informed and know what to expect.

The procedure What to expect?

Similar to most injectable procedures, your QWO cellulite injection treatment process will start with photographs, cleaning and marking the target areas, and then injecting using the best method for the area being treated. One session could require up to 12 injections and should not take more than 30 minutes.

Aftercare with QWO

Since the procedure is minimally invasive, there is little to no downtime or recovery time required after your injections. Patients report bruising and swelling that linger for the duration of the treatment. There may also be the development of nodules on the injection sites that will gradually soften and return to normal. You may take Tylenol or Ibuprofen for any discomfort post-procedure. According to trials, QWO reduces the dimpling appearance but does not eradicate cellulite entirely but can make a significant difference.
