With the sun getting higher in the sky and the days getting longer, some skincare treatments can become challenging, especially those that have limitations on sun and/or heat exposure. Here are our faves for summer skincare, including downtime estimates and sun exposure guidelines for these procedures. And always remember to wear your sunscreen post-treatments and every day!

Hydrafacial

An anytime treatment to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin. You can add in a custom booster for extra hydration during the hot summer!

No downtime and just avoid the sun for about 24 hours.

Dermaplane

Removes dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) to give you glowing, smooth skin. An integral part of any maintenance skincare regimen!

Sweating and heat will feel uncomfortable for a day or two.

WiQo Peel

We like to explain this chemical peel as “topical Sculptra.” It works to plump, tighten, and lift lax skin, as well as brighten the complexion. It’s patented delivery mechanism allows the chemical peel to penetrate the skin barrier without damaging the top layer of skin, meaning you don’t actually peel.

It is truly NO downtime and no sun restrictions!

Skin Pen (with or without PRP)

Microneedling is a great way to stimulate collagen production, giving you plumper more elastic skin. It can also help with pore size, pigmentation and some acne scarring. Adding PRP helps you heal more quickly.

You can have Skin Pen if you are tanned, but not if you are sunburned. You will need to stay out of direct sun for 3-7 days until you are fully healed. Your fresh new skin needs to stay protected!

Mild Moxi Laser

One of the great things about Moxi is that it’s customizable. We are able to do a very light treatment that will remove the superficial layer of skin, leaving you with a nice glow and minimal peeling, if any. Moxi targets melasma, skin texture, skin elasticity and pore size. Keep in mind that less downtime means less correction. This is a great refresh during the summer months though!

Avoid direct sun for about 7 days after treatment.

Morpheus 8

This is microneedling paired with radiofrequency energy. Combining these two technologies allows for deep heating of the tissue, leading to remodeling of the tissue over time. This can help with skin laxity, scars, pigmentation and texture. A series of three is always recommended.

You will need to avoid the sun for 5-7 days post-procedure.

Evolve X Transform

This is a perfect treatment for during summer. With the Texas heat, we are generally in more revealing clothes and Evolve can help your physique in three ways: it uses electromagnetic stimulation to tighten muscles, and deep heat from bipolar radio frequency helps to stimulate collagen to tighten skin, as well as target fat cells.

No downtime or sun restrictions associated with this treatment.

Evoke

Evoke is like Evolve X but for the face. It uses radio frequency energy to target the subdermal layer to remodel the appearance of the cheeks, neck, and jawline. A series of 6-8 sessions are needed.

No downtime and no sun exposure guidelines.

DiVa

Any season is diVa season! diVa is a non-surgical option for vaginal wellness. It is a laser that uses deep heating to rejuvenate the tissue, and can help with issues like dryness, painful intercourse, or stress urinary incontinence. A series of three is always recommended, and the O-shot is often paired with this treatment.

No downtime or sun requirements. However, you will need to avoid being submerged in any water (bath, pool, hot tub, ocean, etc) for a full week post-treatment.
